Easter In Chicago

Martin and I had a very nice Easter in Chicago.  After church we had Sunday brunch at Flemmings. Sarah works for a Flemmings in Baltimore...yummy! On Monday we witnessed Rachel as she made her first appearance in court: Federal Court of Appeals.

Owen Visits Chicago

Ok. This is interesting. Ben & Michelle surprised Ben's Mom for her birthday celebration in Chicago.  Since Martin and I were visiting, we got to babysit Owen too.  This is a foreshadow of Rachel and motherhood... Rachel multitasking: discussing the content of her upcoming court appearance, feeding the baby while enjoying a lovely martini made by her fabulous husband, Eric.

You go girl!

Dinner & Towel Snaps

We had an enjoyable dinner followed by Martin teaching Logan how to "towel snap".  Oh my!

Easter Eggs

Zak & Meghan and the boys came over for dinner. Logan made Easter eggs. Martin had his very own "UNC" egg.

Jenny at Miami University

We had a quick but GREAT visit with Jenny on our way home from Florida.  She had just finished the initiation of the new members of her sorority. Jenny is secretary and has been to Atlanta for general meetings.  She loves Miami, is preparing for a triathlon this summer, while staying focussed on her goal for an advanced degree in marketing (watch out Nike and Under Armor!) Jenny is planning on attending Jared & DeAnn's wedding this summer so you will get a chance to catch up with her then.

LOVE YOU JENNY!,UNCLE MARTIN & AUNTIE KAREN

Wedding Invitation Selection

Candy and I met at Direct Buy to look for wedding invitations.  Well, Candy found one she liked...

...and I found one that I liked...

...then we found one we both liked...

Nate...SO CUTE!

Zak & Meghan were off to his Christmas office party, so Martin and I got to babysit. Nate is SO CUTE! His little personality is coming out.  Lots of "cooing" and "gooing".

PIRATES!

Logan is into theme reading. Bet you can guess the theme of the day..."Arrg me maty". Yes, pirates.

Logan must be in full regalia before reading, including: eye patch,  "banana", temporary tattoos, and treasure coins clutched in his hands.  Martin read Grandma and the Pirates at least 6 times and I read it twice.
